The Position

The purpose of the Digital Marketing Specialist-SEO/SEM is to plan and execute a cohesive search engine marketing ecosystem based on a predetermined budget to optimize marketing lead gen efforts.

As a Digital Marketing Specialist-SEO/SEM, you will develop, optimize, and execute search engine marketing plans and campaigns to ensure revenue, budget, ROI, and other business goals are met. You will analyze data, identify trends in order to expand and optimize our client database, and manage all of our PPC accounts (Google Adwords, Bing, YELP etc.). Your goal is to reduce overall advertising spend while increasing lead gen and web traffic through organic and paid sources. The KPIs you are in charge of include the number of leads generated and cost per lead.

The Responsibilities/Key Expectations

  • SEM Account Management - manage, create, and execute on all PPC ad campaigns
  • Oversee all of our SEO and SEM/PPC initiatives to maximize local reach in all markets
  • Plan, setup, optimize and manage all campaigns
  • Manage and optimize budgets, A/B test ad creatives/copy, keyword research, set up audiences, and optimize for conversions and KPIs
  • Keep up to date on industry trends to educate the team and implement on best practices
  • Optimize copy, blogs and landing pages
  • Create new blogs and landing pages
  • Perform keyword discovery and optimization
  • Research and implement SEO recommendations
  • Research and analyze competitor advertising links
  • Develop and implement a link building strategy internally
  • Work with the in-house dev team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented
  • Project manage outsourced agencies as needed
  • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, and linking as needed
  • Report and analyze data
  • Seek out new opportunities and propose new ideas/platforms
  • Collaborate with the creative, email, and digital marketing teams to increase lead gen through paid media
  • Other duties as assigned including but not limited to managing other advertising platform and optimization


  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SEM, PPC, and SEO
  • 2+ years of SEM copywriting experience
  • Experience working with Wordpress, HTML, CSS, Javascript
  • Proficient using SEO tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, TagManager, AdWords, and SEMRush.
  • Experience performing algorithm research and successfully implementing changes
  • Experience in lead generation and B2C marketing
  • Experience running A/B tests, retargeting, and remarketing
  • Experience executing and managing ad campaigns
  • Proven experience doing keyword research and implementing new SEO strategies
  • Must be comfortable managing relationships with stakeholders across the company and expectations for deliverables
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. We want someone who will not just produce the right numbers, but be able to clearly explain and make useful recommendations.
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy on work output
  • Able to work quickly and prioritize multiple projects
  • Critical and analytical thinking skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Google Certification(s) a plus
  • Hubspot experience preferred

TYPICAL OFFICE HOURS: Monday - Thursday: 8:30am - 5:30pm, Friday: 8:30am - 4:30pm
